Bradley Company (previously called Bradley Corp.) is dedicated to providing safe and efficient commercial washroom accessories/solutions. Bradley hired me in September of '23. I am truly grateful for the knowledge they have shared with me. As a Marketing Intern, they have given me the opportunity to learn how to keep a large corporation afloat with their small (but mighty) marketing team.
The Market Research Specialist has taught me the importance of competitor movements. I have done research on what makes other brands stand out in the commercial washroom industry, and what companies are struggling. Recently, I've been researching the potential of Bradley in the Prison Construction Marketplace: creating lists of current companies within the industry, who would be our strongest competitors, whether prisons have the funds to update facilities, etc.
Working with the Social Media Specialist, I was able to create a few posts myself on Pinterest. Being able to see metrics on what I have created has been very insightful. The right keywords are instrumental in creating traffic.
I have also been working with the Tech Data Writer. She taught me how to create open communication with other departments (i.e. Engineering). I'm definitely NOT an expert in Tech Data. The biggest take away from that is the importance of formating. How all documents need to have the same paragraph styles, margins, text size, you name it!
Bradley has its own merchandise store. Since I have started my internship at Bradley, I've been working on promotional items for the Bradley Outpost. This includes creating the logo and making new flyers for upcoming sales. This is one of the main tasks I work on for our Graphic Designer.
The Event Planner has me make name badges/tags and table tents for a variety of events. Printing these taught me how important formatting is. I now have a template I can use for every project, making it easier to print on speciality paper.
The marketing team at Bradley took me under their wing! I have learned so much, and I look forward to applying this knowledge outside of my internship!
This is an example of the Tech Data I produce for Bradley. The entire document consists of specific paragraph/character styles, spacing between content, button style/functions, and many other elements. All Tech Data needs to have the exact same formatting. Constancy is key!
The following images contain the logo options I pitched for the merch store. With input and suggestions from coworkers, we found the perfect desgin!
Below are some of the flyers I've created for Bradley Outpost!
Bradley had an employee celebration in early September. I created RSVP cards and an invitation to be sent out to employees. I stuck with our designated color scheme and used elements to draw eyes further down the page, to keep readers engaged! These mail-outs were different from what projects I'm typically given, and I enjoyed the experience!
